Bocca Di Magra
Bocca di Magra is one of fractions of Ameglia in the province of La Spezia. The small fraction is located at the mouth of the Magra river at the foot of Mount Caprione that was already known in the Roman Era are witness the remains of a villa from the I-IV century BC, located close to the village. Born as a fishing village and in the immediate postwar period from 1945 to the end of the fifties, it becomes summer meeting place of intellectuals and writers, such as: Giancarlo De Carlo, Vittorio Sereni, John Pintori, Giulio Einaudi, Marguerite Duras, Franco Fortini, Albe Steiner, Elio Vittorini and Italo Calvino.
